The USTA have announced that the USA's Davis Cup Quarterfinal tie against France will be staged in Winston Salem, North Carolina.  The mouth-watering tie, featuring world-class players will be played April 11-13.  France fielded Gasquet, Tsonga, Clement and Llodra in their 5-0 white wash of Romania in the first round.
Looking ahead to the tie, Captain Patrick McEnroe said,
"France has some different players now, some talented and charismatic young players, which I think will make it a great tie.  Not only do they have a great team, but great individual players with a lot of flair."  said McEnroe.  "We've got a little more experience than they do.  I think there are some similarities.  Llodra and Clement are one of the best teams in the world in doubles, and we've got the best team-- Makes it like every match could almost be like a Grand Slam semi or final."
Winston Salem holds memories of success for Team USA.  On their title run in 2007, the USA defeated Spain in the quarterfinal stages at Winston Salem.  The Lawrence Joel Coliseum is also where a 19-year old Andy Roddick debuted in a live rubber Davis Cup match back in 2001.
If you're interested in going to this tie, the USTA has posted some ticket information:
Quarterfinal tickets are expected to go on sale to the general public the week of Feb. 25.  For more info, call the U.S. Davis Cup hotline at (888) 484-8782 (USTA).
